Traditional Bear Mountain Oktoberfest Moves
to Anthony Wayne Recreation Area
| Bear Mountain, NY – May 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / It’s official: Oktoberfest has outgrown Bear Mountain, according to Alicia Diamond, managing director of Bear Mountain Inn from Guest Services, Inc. – concessionaire for Bear Mountain State Park since 2009. The tradition will continue, however, as Oktoberfest 2015 will be hosted at The Anthony Wayne Recreation Area of Harriman State Park, easily accessible from the Palisades Parkway just south of Bear Mountain at Exit 17.

Enjoy this traditional, fun fall celebration with authentic German foods, music, crafts and the flavors of Bavaria, presented as in the past by the culinary team at Bear Mountain Inn. This move marks thrilling growth for Oktoberfest as Anthony Wayne Recreation Area provides ample parking, expanded concert space, and more open space. And the move means that more park-goers will be able to enjoy the beauty of fall at Bear Mountain simultaneously.

Oktoberfest 2015 begins on Saturday, September 12 and takes place every weekend through October 25. Admission to Oktoberfest is free and open to the public. A cash-only parking fee is charged upon arrival. Oktoberfest hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
