Wayfarer’s Annapolis Rebranded to
Naptown Half Marathon and 10K

The newly rebranded race in Annapolis, MD will be under
new management and will showcase its host city with a fresh new look!

The 2020 race will be held on May 30, 2020 at Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

LSG will assume management of the race that was previously operated by Pacers Events out of Washington, D.C. and will look to add new and creative partners and sponsors to the race while playing up the hometown feel of Annapolis.

“We are extremely excited to be managing this event,” said Matt Florio, Vice President of Operations of LSG. “This is a great race in a great town and we believe with a fresh new look and some creativity this will become a staple race on the mid-Atlantic running calendar.”

The Naptown race has plans to create a truly first-class experience for runners and are looking for answers from the runners themselves.

“We are looking at improvements and enhancements in everything from on-course experience, technology, merchandise, entertainment, food & drink, travel, all of it,” Florio continued. “And we want to hear from the runners about what they want. This race will be rebranded with the voice of the runner in the forefront.”

“Naptown” is the local nickname for the city of Annapolis and the race will pay homage to its host city with its rebrand by adding local aspects to the event where ever possible. The race will be looking to work with local charities to be beneficiaries of the race and to give back locally to meaningful organizations that share in the company’s values.

“One of our core values is giving back to the community,” said Ryan Heacock, President of LSG. “Something we say often is ‘You don’t get back if you don’t give back’. We realize that events are all about community and bringing people together. It’s our obligation to give back to the community so it can continue to thrive and do well for others.”
