Syracuse,
NY – July 2012 / Hospitality 1ST / The New
York State Fair has announced all but one of the acts that will perform
as part of this year’s 24-performer lineup on Chevy
Court, offering an array of shows that will appeal to a broad audience
of Fairgoers. Two different acts will perform each day at 2 p.m. and 8
p.m. All shows at Chevy Court are free with Fair admission. Today’s announcement
includes three more performers.
Country music band Sawyer
Brown, R&B performer Jermaine Paul, and country music artist Candy
Coburn with Iroquois singer, composer and acoustic guitarist Joanne Shenandoah
will appear in the 2012 Chevy Court concert series.
“We want families to come
to the Fair for a variety of experiences,” said Dan O’Hara, State Fair
director. “The concerts on Chevy Court allow us to do just that, and the
best part is that it’s free with your advance sale admission ticket.”
Beginning with an audition
on the talent show Star Search, country music band Sawyer Brown have proved
they belong in the music business. Over the past two decades, the band
has released over 50 singles, played over 3,500 shows, released gold and
platinum albums, and now they will take the Chevy Court stage on Friday,
Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. Their hits include “Some Girls Do,” “The Dirt Road,”
“Step That Step,” “Thank God For You.”
R&B artist Jermaine
Paul from Harriman, New York will perform on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m.

on season 2 of The Voice. He ultimately won the season, after performing
well known songs such as “Complicated,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Against
All Odds,” “Open Arms,” and “I Believe I Can Fly.” His first single “Butterfly
Kisses,” was released in June of this year.
Candy Coburn has had success
for several years in country music. Her 2007 release Rev It Up included
three singles that topped the charts including “Hard to Be Good in Texas,”
“Rev It Up,” and “Big Dream in a Little Town.” She is most notable for
her song “Pink Warrior,” which was released to raise awareness about the
fight again breast cancer. Her latest single “Don’t Walk Away,” was released
in January of this year.
Joanne Shenandoah will

These performers are part
of a revamped format that was introduced in 2009 that will bring 24 national
acts to the Chevy Court stage instead of the traditional 12. These changes
