Gather your family for prize-winning competitive fun including contests
for best watermelon outfit, seed spitting and watermelon eating -- ever
thought about eating as many melons as you can in 90 seconds with your
hands behind your back? There’s something for everyone in the vendor area
and special events and entertainment throughout the day for the children,
with many activities located near the Children’s Stage in Moore’s Park.
![]() As the sun sets, savor the sultry sounds of nightly music entertainment and don’t miss the talents showcased at the nightly rodeo. Friday night, tap your toes along with The Entertainers, a regionally-known band with several #1 beach songs. Then on Saturday night Millstar recording artist Outshyne, known for the hit song “Dirt Road Romance” and a regular opener for Florida Georgia Line, Justin Moore, Eric Church, and Jake Owen, takes the stage! Saturday morning brings with it a day full of entertainment. Start off the day with your sneakers tied for the first ever Melon Mile 5K. Then catch a cool shaded spot along McGregor Street as one of South Carolina’s largest parades – led by grand marshal, Tony award winning and Pageland native, Patina Miller – and complete with entertainment, laughter and fun for the family, makes its way through town. Shop local among crafters and engage all five senses with festival delicacies sure to satisfy any palate. Catch a thrill on the amusement rides and check out the new and old favorites at the festival car show. Dance the night away during Friday and Saturday evening’s block party street dances. Take time to high-five Wally the Watermelon and make way for fireworks on Saturday evening – all part of the nostalgia that is the Pageland Watermelon Festival. If
