Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Selects Paradise For Meetings and Sports Marketing Services
|
St. Petersburg, FL – October 2025 / NewsmakerAlert: Paradise Advertising & Marketing, Inc. (Paradise) has been selected by The Halifax Area Advertising Authority (HAAA), operating as the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), to lead a dynamic, multi-channel marketing effort promoting Daytona Beach as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, and sporting events.

The initiative will target meeting planners and sports event organizers, highlighting Daytona Beach’s world-class facilities, 23 miles of scenic shoreline, and its growing reputation as a “bleisure” destination. With one of Florida’s largest beachfront convention centers, Daytona Beach is recognized as one of the nation’s top five emerging markets for meetings.

“Meetings and sports tourism are vital to the economic health of our destination and a key strategic priority,” added Kay Galloway, HAAA Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re excited to collaborate with Paradise to develop a compelling campaign that captures the energy and unforgettable experiences Daytona Beach offers.”

Working closely with the CVB’s leadership and stakeholders, Paradise will craft a campaign aligned with the destination’s tourism brand, designed to elevate its visibility, attract high-value group business and generate economic impact for the greater Daytona Beach area and Volusia County, Fla.

“Meetings, conventions, and sports bring high-volume visitor groups and high-impact spending - filling hotels, local restaurants and shops, and boosting local economies,” said Mark Jaronski, CEO of Paradise. “Our team’s unique creative approach is key to inspiring more group travel to the Halifax Taxing District, and with our recent acquisition of Laurie Rowe & Company we stand ready to apply maximum resources toward HAAA’s growth.”

Last month, Paradise announced its acquisition of Laurie Rowe & Company, a respected tourism-focused public relations agency that has represented Daytona Beach as one of its clients since 2020.

About the Halifax Area Advertising Authority (HAAA)
The Halifax Area Advertising Authority (HAAA) is an 11-member board appointed by members of the Volusia County Council. HAAA is charged with promoting tourism offerings within the greater Daytona Beach area and does business as the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).

The mission of the CVB is to contribute to and enhance the overall economic prosperity of the Halifax Taxing District and all of Volusia County through the successful promotion of the area as a preferred tourism destination. The CVB works with area lodging, attractions, restaurants and other tourism and hospitality-related businesses to represent the area to potential leisure and business travelers, tour operators, travel agents, meeting planners, and the travel media.

In Volusia County, these efforts are funded by the 3% Convention Development Tax (bed tax) which is paid by visitors (not residents) and is collected on overnight, short-term accommodations. The Halifax Taxing District, one of three such taxing districts in Volusia County, includes the cities and communities of Ormond By The Sea, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Wilber By The Sea, Ponce Inlet, Holly Hill and South Daytona.
