Rutter’s Promotes Three Senior Leaders

| York, PA – December 2022 / Newsmaker Alert: Rutter’s is proud to announce that two members of the senior executive team, Chris Hartman and Tom Turnbaugh, have been promoted to Vice President. In addition, Mike Shonk is being elevated to join the senior executive team, as a Senior Director. These changes will help continue Rutter’s growth and success for years to come!

Chris Hartman has been named the Vice President of Fuels, Advertising and Development. Chris is part of the 11th generation of Rutter’s ownership and son of Scott Hartman, Rutter’s President and CEO. Beginning at 13 years old, Chris worked in Rutter’s stores each summer and gained knowledge of store operations. Chris returned to Rutter’s in 2018, after working outside the business for five years and receiving his MBA in Finance from George Washington University. Chris continues to expand his role within the company and looks to build on the success of previous generations.

Tom Turnbaugh has been promoted to Vice President of Finance & Accounting. He joined Rutter’s in June 2020, with over 10 years of Finance and Accounting experience, as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. He was promoted to Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting in December 2021. Tom is a native of Central Pennsylvania and a graduate of York College.

Mike Shonk is the company’s new Senior Director of Facilities & Development. He came to Rutter’s in September with 23 years of experience in Facilities & Development, as Director of Facilities. In addition to Mike’s current facilities management responsibilities, he will also be charged with overseeing the development of new stores and remodels.
