Renee Locke.
A familiar face with deep local roots and an unwavering passion for hospitality,
Locke is bringing fresh energy to this iconic coastal destination - just
in time for spring and summer celebrations.
The
Atlantic Grill has long been known for its seafood-driven menu, elegant
yet relaxed atmosphere, and strong ties to the community. From weekend
brunches and summer patio nights to holiday specials and private events,
it continues to be a top choice for locals and visitors alike. Now, with
Locke at the helm, the team is leaning into its strengths - community,
consistency, and a warm welcome that keeps people coming back.

Atlantic Grill has always felt like home to me,” says Locke. “From the
first time I dined here, I could tell it was more than just a restaurant
- it’s a gathering place. That’s the kind of experience I want to continue
cultivating: great food, great people, and a space where everyone feels
like they belong.”
Locke
brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Known for her leadership
and heart, she previously managed award-winning teams at 99 Restaurants
and later launched her own concept, Urban Farmhouse, where she was celebrated
for her creative approach and community-first mindset.
“This
team is already incredible,” Locke adds. “My goal is to support them, elevate
what we do best, and continue creating those standout moments for our guests.

To
kick off the season and officially welcome Locke, The Atlantic Grill invites
guests to celebrate ‘Hit the Decks’ on Thursday, May 8, part of
Portsmouth’s citywide summer celebration. Guests can enjoy special samples
and tastings, champagne pours, and fresh oysters on the covered four-season
patio. It’s the perfect excuse to sip, snack, and say hello. Locke and
her team will showcase other curated “Deck Deals” rooted in the restaurant’s
signature coastal cuisine.
