Brewster,
WA – May 2025 / NewsmakerAlert:
Ahead of the August 1st opening of
its new David McLay Kidd-designed Scarecrow Course, Gamble
Sands will open 40 new double-king rooms at The
Inn at Gamble Sands on June 3rd. The new golf-view rooms overlook Scarecrow,
the highly anticipated and second 18-hole championship layout at Gamble
Sands. In addition, the Top 100 golf resort located in Brewster, Washington
recently launched a new website at Gamblesands.com, showcasing the stunning
Gamble Sands property through video and imagery, while providing visitors
with the opportunity to build, price and book custom golf trip itineraries.
With
the addition of the 40 new double-king rooms, The Inn at Gamble Sands now
has a total of 77 luxury rooms, including 37 river-view rooms which overlook
the Columbia River. All rooms at The Inn offer spacious accommodations
with walk-in showers, large screen televisions, mini fridges, coffee makers,
and private patios. Guests staying in the new golf-view rooms can also
enjoy pre- or post-round putting practice on a new putting green located
adjacent to the new lodging units. This summer, Gamble Sands will also
debut a new onsite shuttle service to help guests get to and from The Inn,

Designed
by Matchplay Marketing, the new
Gamble Sands website provides
visitors with helpful information on all of the golf options at Gamble
Sands, including the new Scarecrow Course, the original Gamble Sands Course,
the Quicksands Short Course and the Cascade Putting Course. Visitors can
also explore room options at The Inn at Gamble Sands, check out the on-site
dining choices, book tee times and stay and play packages, shop for logoed
merchandise, and more.
With
50 holes of golf, including two 18-hole McLay Kidd-designed championship
courses and a fun-to-play 14-hole McLay Kidd-designed short course, a 100,000-square-foot
Cascade Putting Course, as well as multiple food and beverage options,
Gamble Sands is a premier golf destination. The property’s original Gamble
Sands Course is currently No. 18 on GOLF Magazine’s “Top 100 Courses
You Can Play” ranking and is firmly entrenched as a Top 100 golf course
in the United States.
Built
on 300 acres of rumpled and rolling terrain where cornfields once stood,
Scarecrow overlooks the Columbia River Valley, while watching over the
neighboring apple and cherry orchards of the Gebbers’ family farm. The
corn is gone but the Scarecrow still stands, serving as a defender of the
fertile soil’s new purpose. In Scarecrow, McLay Kidd and design associate
Nick Schaan have transformed a twisted saddle of undulating land and river-view
ridgeline into what golfers will soon come to find as a counterpart yet
contrasting experience to Gamble’s original and award-winning Gamble Sands
Course. Scarecrow will play to a par of 71 and stretch to 6,900 yards.
