Ultimate Ninjas Academy in Fort Myers Becomes First in Florida

Fort Myers, FL – January 2025 / NewsmakerAlert: The parents of youngsters with “wanna-be” Ninjas have a new happy destination for their little warriors as the Ultimate Ninjas Academy finalizes construction in South Fort Myers. The site is a mini-nirvana for parents of children with boundless energy as well as a safe and supervised setting where kids can run up warped walls, climb rock walls and traverse obstacles like those they see on TV. The Academy also provides a healthy diversion from screen time for the little ones, while building confidence, improving balance, fitness and overall athletic ability.

Located at 9281 College Parkway, next door to Anytime Fitness in the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market Center, the new school is the first in Florida for the Chicago-based Ultimate Ninjas Franchise Group, a retail-footprint, obstacle course gym specially designed for kids aged 10 months to 10 years old.

Additional businesses in the College Parkway building will include Living Vine Organic Cafe and The Community Pregnancy Clinic. The building is designed to replicate America’s own White House in Washington, DC. Total square footage is 7,000 – 3,000 of which will be occupied by the Ultimate Ninjas Academy. The opening of the Academy is expected from mid-to-late February, pending completion of construction. They are currently hiring positive, enthusiastic, fitness and child-loving college-aged students to serve as coaches and expect to generate 10 new positions at the site. Contact Cordula Reichardt via email at Cordula@ultimateninjas.com.

Owners of the new Ultimate Ninjas Academy are Jim Stewart and Cordula Reichardt, who also own the neighboring Anytime Fitness. Prior to Anytime, Reichardt co-owned a successful local CrossFit gym while Stewart worked as an employee of Ford Motor Company, later buying Marketing Associates, a Ford supplier. The partners have owned the Anytime Fitness for 12 years.

“We didn’t have to look far for the perfect Academy manager,” said Reichardt. “Kristen Gustafson was a personal trainer in our gym and has the positive and enthusiastic personality we were seeking to be the face of the Academy. “Kristen will serve as Operations Manager, guiding memberships, classes, and events for the kids.”

Stewart purchased the building that is now Anytime Fitness, 9211 College Parkway in 2013, and literally the same day he and Reichardt closed on the purchase of the Anytime Fitness franchise. Their long-term goal was to establish additional health and fitness-oriented businesses. When the land next door became available, they seized the opportunity to expand their mission.

Under the same corporate umbrella as full-size Ultimate Ninjas training gyms, five Ultimate Ninjas Academy locations are currently in various stages of construction in the United States. The concept was conceived to respond to an increased demand for pre-k and toddler programming. Ultimate Ninjas is the world’s premier ninja gym franchise with 14 current or pending United States locations with sites soon to be opening in other countries. The Ultimate Ninjas Academy brand is driving the ninja sport forward by developing a world-class sport and entertainment venue with programs that tap into highly popular ninja obstacle course racing which will be included in the 2028 Olympics’ Modern Pentathlon event.

Staffed by certified trainers with a specific curriculum, classes range from parent involved beginning movement through independent skill-based obstacle classes. Coaches work with the young Ninjas on developing age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play and exploration while cultivating a positive environment where children develop valuable skills early in their development.
