has revealed 115,192 offers to purchase or rent timeshares last year at
2,422 resorts, reflecting consumers’ increased comfort in purchasing and
renting timeshares online.
The annual listing of the Top 100 Timeshare Resales and Top 100 Timeshare Rentals is based on offers received by resort owners/renters who have advertised on the company’s websites during the past year. The Top 10 resorts attracted a combined total of 14,267 offers to buy or rent their timeshares during 2011. During the past year, the
ten most in-demand timeshare resale properties include one resort in Las
Vegas, a New York City timeshare, three resorts in Orlando, one each in
Colorado, California, Tennessee and Aruba and a multi-destination vacation
membership. Grandview
at Las Vegas received the greatest number of purchase offers, followed
by Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange
Lake Resort West Village, Grand
Timber Lodge in Breckenridge, and the Manhattan Club at number 4. Westgate
Smoky Mountain Resort, Marriott’s Grande Vista, and Westgate Vacation Villas
received the 5th, 6th and 7th greatest number of offers. Marriott’s Aruba
Surf Club, Newport Coast Villas and multi-destination resort company WorldMark
by Wyndham rounded out the list of Top Ten resale properties at numbers
8, 9, and 10.
