Visit Frederick Launches FY26 TRIPP Grant Funding Program
|
Frederick, MD – January 2025 / NewsmakerAlert: Visit Frederick is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the FY26 Tourism Reinvestment in Promotion and Product (TRIPP) program. This initiative provides funding to support cooperative promotional efforts and tourism product development within Frederick County. Eligible non-profit organizations and government agencies are invited to apply for grants aimed at supporting local attractions and boosting tourism in the region.

For FY26, a total of $450,000 in funding will be available through the TRIPP program.

Since its inception in 2006, the program has invested more than $4.4 million into Frederick County’s tourism sector, with this year’s funding poised to bring the program’s cumulative total to nearly $5 million.

A portion of the revenue from the hotel tax directed to Visit Frederick will be available for the promotion of local non-profit attractions and events and for the development of tourism product through non-profit attractions, events, and activities. The TRIPP program allocates this funding through a competitive application process that will fund advertising and development projects.

The TRIPP program has $450,000 available for FY26 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026).

FY26 TRIPP Grant Funding Breakdown:

  • $260,000 for Tourism Advertising Awards
  • $170,000 for Tourism Development Grants
  • $20,000 reserved for unanticipated grant opportunities during FY26
“This year’s funding represents another milestone for our innovative TRIPP program,” said Dave Ziedelis, Executive Director at Visit Frederick. “It reflects the thriving tourism industry in Frederick County and underscores the ongoing success of our local attractions, businesses, and events. We’re excited to continue empowering our non-profit and government partners to make a meaningful impact on tourism in the region.”
