Orlando
FL – August 2025 / NewsmakerAlert: WPC,
a Florida-based general contractor specializing in hospitality renovation,
has recently completed the successful renovation of a dual-branded Marriott
Courtyard/Residence Inn hotel in Lake Nona, Orlando, three-and-a-half
weeks ahead of schedule. The work was completed in about three months
with no disruption to live hotel operations while exceeding the client’s
expectations for upgraded guest rooms, lobby areas, and amenities.

According
to Jeff Forrest, Sr. CEO
of WPC, “In recent years, hospitality renovations and Property Improvement
Plan (PIP) projects have become a central focus of our business, as new
construction has slowed due to higher interest rates and rising costs.
Projects like the Lake Nona renovation are often required by hotel brands
making them an ideal fit for our expertise. After successfully completing
similar renovations for multiple timeshare resorts across Florida and beyond,
we have earned respect as a trusted leader in this specialized field. Our
focus on smart renovations allows us to reduce waste, preserve the unique
character of each community and help owners achieve a faster return on
their investments.”
Although
Central Florda is WPC’s primary location, they will accept assignments
on the east coast from Jacksonville to Melbourne and on the west coast
from Tampa to Sarasota.
During
the Lake Nona renovation, over 204 guest rooms, two lobbies, corridors,
a gym, bathrooms, meeting spaces, and custom millwork were modernized across
seven stories. WPC implemented a phased, rolling approach, often clearing
one or two floors at a time with strict 15-day turnover windows while providing
3–4 days’ advance notice to hotel management. This ensured minimal noise
and maintained seamless guest experiences, even pausing work to accommodate
late checkouts or shifting to alternate areas, such as millwork or punch-list
tasks, as needed.
Added
Ryan Nash, WPC Superintendent,
“We treated every day like the hotel was fully booked. This required constant
coordination with the hotel staff, but we never missed a time milestone.”
Guest
room enhancements included new wallpaper, updated flooring, refreshed walls
and doors, upgraded lighting, and custom millwork that matched the original
design elements. Special attention was given to detail, even off-site reworking
of oversized custom headboards with a local upholsterer and reconfiguring
switches to minimize guest disruption. The lobby and amenity spaces were
visually and functionally reimagined as WPC removed an outdated live plant
wall while managing unforeseen challenges.
Strong
coordination among WPC, subcontractors, ownership, and hotel staff was
crucial. Subcontractors scaled labor quickly, owner-supplied materials
were handled flexibly, and punch-list items were typically completed on
the same day as final walkthroughs. Remarkably, the project incurred zero
missed timelines, zero guest complaints, and earned high client satisfaction.
