With 650 expected to attend, the two-day event will include a celebration of nine communities who have earned the 2025 Seal of Distinction for excellence in community association management, an expo with 88 exhibitors who serve the community association industry, recognition of several community managers who’ve recently earned their Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation and a day of educational sessions geared towards the advancement of individuals in the community management profession. In mid-September (17-19) the Wilmington Convention Center will welcome the NC Public Health Association 2025 Fall Educational Conference. This annual conference brings public health professionals at every level from students to mid-career professionals to retired experts from around the state to exchange information and create a healthier North Carolina through effective public health practice and engaged citizens. An estimated 500 attendees are expected for this three-day event. The 2025 UNC CAUSE Conference, scheduled for September 24-26 is expected to have more than 550 attendees. This annual conference provides a state-wide technical conference experience for North Carolina’s college and university IT staff to exchange ideas, gain exposure to advances in information technology and gain professional development at reasonable costs. “This is an exciting and challenging time for IT professionals, given the evolution of computing and the changes that have occurred over the past 50+ years.” states Marissa Winkler, a representative for the organization. “IT is mission critical for all their campuses and results in an ever-increasing expectation that they will deliver new and expanded capabilities to their users in a timely manner. The personal challenge for all involved in UNC CAUSE is to serve their users well and empower them through technology to be more creative, productive and efficient.” UNC CAUSE is a group formed in 1970 by the computing centers of the 17-campus University of North Carolina for the purpose of promoting cooperation and information exchange between the campuses of the UNC System in all areas related to information technology. “We are very pleased to welcome three statewide organizations and their conference attendees to Wilmington over the next two months,” states Kim Hufham, President/CEO for the Wilmington and Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to highlight the unique charm of our destination and encourage return visits for business and leisure.” About
